The City of Lorain announces the availability of funds for Project Year 2019 Public Services projects PY2019 through its yearly entitlement from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development’s Community Development Block Grant program. The available funding is currently estimated to be $75,000 for Public Service related activities and projects.
The City of Lorain will host a public information session on Wednesday, February 13, 2019 from 11-12 p.m. in the Police Training Room located at 200 West Erie Avenue, Lorain, OH 44052 to provide details regarding the application process. Eligible applicants are those which possess a valid 501 (c) (3) tax exemption status or are a department of the City of Lorain seeking to provide public service activities that principally benefit low-and-moderate income persons as established by those persons whose income meets U. S. Department of Housing and Urban Department (HUD) low income guidelines. In addition, the activities carried out must be consistent with the City of Lorain’s most recent Five Year Consolidated Plan. It is not mandatory to attend this session, but strongly recommended.
