When do I have to file a bond on a property?: A $10,000 cash bond must be filed on any property, regardless of occupancy, in which an active foreclosure case is pending or a judgement of foreclosure has been issued.

1. If I have a vacant property, do I have to register it with the City?: Yes. Vacant property registration forms are found in the Department of Building, Housing, & Planning. The cost is $125.00 and are valid for 1 year. The registration must be renewed every year.
