It gives me great pleasure to present to you the City of Lorain’s Recovery Plan. The City of Lorain will receive over $32 Million of American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) Funding to allocate towards impactful recovery solutions to the COVID-19 Pandemic.
In June of 2021, the City sent out a survey for Lorain Residents to complete and return to us with your ideas and thoughts on where to allocate these funds. Thank you for taking the time to fill out the survey. The City received back numerous responses and because of that, we have provided you with a Recovery Plan on how we will be utilizing the American Rescue Plan Act Funding.
The Lorain Recovery Plan outlines what ARPA Funding can go towards, our survey results, and what the City decided to fund through the lens of Social Equity. Each of the 7 Core Principles will encompass fairness and justice for all Lorain Residents. Lorain’s Recovery Plan overarching goal is to strengthen and stabilize our economy by providing resources to residents, businesses, and nonprofits while addressing environmental and physical barriers that impact marginalized communities.
